Branford Sunset

This image of a small island at sunset located in Granite Bay in Short Beach CT never ceased to reveal and provide beautiful images as the light and seasons went through their many changes. Having lived for many years on Long Island Sound in the small town of Rowayton CT and before that the even smaller community of Bell Island from the age of 10 I was totally in love with the water, rocks, trees and wildlife along the areas coastal bays rivers and creeks we also enjoyed having the Norwalk Islands a short boat or canoe ride from where we resided. Interestingly when we returned to CT after living for 8 years in Alexandria VA to Branford CT the only other area on Long Island Sound to have a group of Islands off shore called the Thimble Islands.
